Kappa kon staff descriptions
Art Team
The art team at Kappa Kon is responsible for creating the image of Kappa Kon. The art team takes care of things like advertisements, website design, convention booklet, etc. The art team works with digital mediums on Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop. A background in one of these three programs are required for working in the art team at Kappa Kon.
Cosplay Team
The cosplay team at Kappa Kon is all about cosplay! The cosplay team is a small group of people with a background knowledge of cosplay construction. During con, these people will run the Cosplay Fix It room where attendees can come to fix cosplays with materials provided from Kappa Kon.
Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall staff at Kappa Kon are ninjas! These people watch the exhibit hall and make sure none of the vendors or artists are being stolen from. The exhibit hall staff also help vendors and artists unload and load their vehicles during those times of the convention. Exhibit hall staff are not required to help vendors and artists set up and take down, but can during down time.
Guest Department
The guest department is responsible for making sure our guests are being well taken care of. Guest staff must be professional at all times when working with the guests. No fan boys or girls, sorry! During convention time, guest staff make sure that each guest know their schedule of panels and events.
Main Events
Interested in running the main events? This team of people make sure that Kappa Kon has the very best events possible! This includes (but not limited too) the rave, cosplay contest, live rock band, etc.
Panel Department
The panel department does a ton of work! But not really because they are awesome. These people make sure that the panels at Kappa Kon are the best they can be. At con, the panel department makes sure people show up for their panels, set up panel rooms, take down panel rooms, make the panel schedule, etc. Lots of work, but it's pretty easy!
Press Team
The press team is one of the hardest jobs at Kappa Kon. These people are responsible for video and photography work at con, video and photo editing, contacting milwaukee press, and getting anime press groups from the midwest to come to the convention. The press team is hard work but great experience on those resumes.
Registration
Are you a friendly, smiling, honest person? Then the Registration Team is for you! Registration team is responsible for cash and credit handling during registration at the convention. Staff in this department must have prior cash and credit handling experience.
Security Team
The security team is responsible for the safety of our attendees. These people will make sure there is no one disobeying the law and rules of the convention during convention time. Security team also covers basic medical back up and crowd control. Interested in being a CRT (Convention Response Team) member, join security!
Social Media
Do you like to sit around on the internet all day?! The Social Media team is perfect for you. The social media team manages facebook, twitter, tumblr, etc!
